Mayes County 85-year-old man Ralph Smith found dead near Sherman, Texas

PRYOR, Okla. (AP) -- Mayes County authorities say a missing 85-year-old man has been found dead inside his crashed car in north Texas.
County Sheriff Frank Cantey told reporters that the body of Ralph Smith was found Wednesday morning inside the car in Grayson County, Texas, -- near Sherman, Texas.
Smith had been reported missing Tuesday afternoon and authorities said they believed he might have been trying to visit his wife in a Tulsa hospital.
Cantey says it appears Smith had been dead for several hours when his body was found about 8:30 a.m.
Cantey says authorities are trying to determine how Smith wound up in northern Texas.
