HUGO, Okla. - The suspect wanted in connection to two Aug. 4 murders has turned himself in, according to authorities.
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation officials say 33-year-old Dawaylon "Hog" Rainey turned himself in on Sunday afternoon.
Rainey was wanted on a warrant for two counts of first-degree murder of Clegg and Qualin Hayden in Hugo.
A witness told authorities Rainey came into the apartment, shot both men, then fled on foot.
The victims Floyd Devin Clegg, 23, of Colbert and Qualin Hayden, 19, of Sherman, Texas, were visiting a friend at the apartments, OSBI officials said. They were transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
U.S. Marshals, Hugo police and OSBI agents set off on a manhunt for Rainey Aug. 5.
A $3,000 reward had been offered for information leading to Rainey's arrest.
