VIAN, Okla. - Firefighters in Vian are watching hot spots after a major fire gutted MC's Cafe.

The fire started just before 7 p.m. Wednesday and most crews were able to leave the scene just before midnight.

They were allowing the remaining embers to burn out.

2NEWS viewer Richard Armstrong sent us photos of the fire as it was unfolding.

Because of concern for stability, firefighters knocked down all but one part of a back wall.

The Vian Police Department told 2NEWS the only business affected was MC's Cafe.

There's no word yet on where in the building or how the fire started.

About 20 firefighters worked the fire.

Police told 2NEWS the building was part of a backdrop for the 1974 movie "Where The Red Fern Grows."

Vian is about 85 miles southeast of Tulsa in Sequoyah County.
