VINITA, Okla. - A Fairland man was killed in a motorcycle accident near Afton early Saturday morning in Ottawa County.
Highway patrol troopers say 41-year-old Jack Caldwell Judd was southbound on U.S. Highway 59 about six miles east of Afton when his 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle left the road and struck a culvert. Troopers say Judd was thrown about 100 feet.
Judd died at the scene from internal and head injuries. Officials say he was not wearing a helmet.
The cause of the wreck is still under investigation.
