ENID, Okla. (AP) -- Prosecutors have filed manslaughter charges against an Enid man after his roommate died of a drug overdose.
Jeffrey Scott Vickers was charged with first-degree manslaughter in the death of Mark Doyle. The Enid News & Eagle reports that Doyle was found unresponsive Oct. 23, 2011, in the home he shared with Vickers.
Prosecutors allege that Vickers gave Doyle a narcotic painkiller that Vickers had bought on the street. An autopsy found that Doyle's cause of death was an accidental overdose of oxymorphine -- a painkiller.
Vickers faces a minimum of four years in prison if convicted. Online court records do not list an attorney for him.
