SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Department of Defense officials say an Oklahoma soldier has died from wounds he received in Afghanistan.
Officials say 22-year-old Specialist James Wickliffchacin, of Edmond, died Friday in San Antonio.
Wickliffchacin was injured when an improvised explosive device went off near his patrol in Afghanistan in early August.
He was assigned to the 4th Brigade Combat Team and was based at Fort Stewart, Ga.
