OKFUSKEE COUNTY, Okla. - Investigators are trying to figure out who murdered a married Boley couple.

Denver Holloway, 54, and his wife, Martha Holloway, 53, were found dead inside their home, located two miles south of town.

Officials say wounds on the couple's bodies indicate they were victims of homicide.

A co-worker says they became concerned when Denver Holloway did not show up for work on Monday morning.

The co-worker, who did not want to release his name, describes the couple as "good people."

Boley residents tell 2News they can't remember the last time a murder occurred in their community.

"We don't hear about stuff like that in our town. It's just shocking, very shocking," said Dorothy Williams, a lifelong resident.

Authorities are not releasing additional information about the case at this time.

Autopsies are being performed by the state medical examiner to determine how the couple died.

Meanwhile, OSBI agents, sheriff's deputies and an investigator with the Okfuskee County District Attorney's Office are following leads. Anyone with information about the Holloway's deaths is asked to call the OSBI hotline at (800) 522-8017.
