CACHE, Okla. (AP) -- A Cache woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing $50 won by a 10-year-old boy in a school art contest.

The Lawton-Constitution reports that 43-year-old Carolyn Beeson is charged with petit larceny for allegedly taking the $50 bill from the child on Thursday and using the money to buy cigarettes.

Jail records show Beeson was arrested Friday and was being held in the Comanche County jail on Saturday. Court records don't list an attorney for her and there is no telephone listing for her.

The boy said he went to the home with Beeson's son after being given the money and a certificate for winning first place in the contest and Beeson asked to see the bill to compare it with a $100 bill she had -- then left the home with the money.
