EDMOND, Okla. (AP) — Two 15-year-old boys suffered critical injuries when they fell from the hood of a vehicle on which they were riding in an Edmond neighborhood.
Police say the accident occurred at about 7:30 p.m. Friday when a sport utility vehicle with several other teenagers inside was going about 40 mph.
Police spokeswoman Jennifer Monroe told The Oklahoman the boys were standing on the hood and fell to the roadway when the vehicle swerved.
Names of the boys weren't released but police said they were each in critical condition at a hospital. The driver was also 15 years old. Monroe didn't know whether the boy had a driving permit.
