TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has identified a body found in a vehicle parked on the Northeastern State University campus in Tahlequah.
Officials say NSU police found 48-year-old Anthony George Scott of Tahlequah in the front seat of a vehicle parked in a lot next to the NSU football stadium around 4:15 p.m. Sunday.
NSU officials said Monday that "available information indicates he was not an NSU student."
OSBI investigators, NSU Campus Police and Tahlequah Police are working together in this investigation.
The man's cause of death are unknown at this time.
Officials say they are treating the death as a homicide unless the medical examiner rules otherwise.
