WEWOKA, Okla. - An elderly man is behind bars for killing his wife, according to state investigators.
The Wewoka Police Department requested assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation on a shooting Wednesday afternoon.
According to the OSBI, 74-year-old Melvin Streater shot his wife at their home. Trevia Streater, 73, was transported to a HOldenville hospital where she later died.
Streater was arrested for second-degree murder and booked into the county jail.
