EUFALA, Okla. - One person is dead and six others injured after a hit-and-run boating collision on Lake Eufaula in McIntosh County Saturday evening.

Troopers with the Oklahoma State Patrol said 20-year-old Aaron Jones, of Moore, hit a boat carrying the six victims.

Jones then fled the scene.

Investigators found the boat at Cook Creek boat slip and seized the vessel.

They have also found Jones and his passenger, Sarah Walker.

Six of the seven victims were taken to area hospitals, including a teenager, with non-life threatening injuries. The seventh victim, 38-year-old Greg Scherff, was airlifted to Muskogee Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

No citations or charges have been issued yet.

That is pending completion of the investigation and will be determined by the district attorney.
