How would you like to save a thousand dollars in just 30 days?
Emily Graham is a busy professional, who like many others, doesn't have a lot of time to worry about finances.
So when she found the advice of Ramit Sethi, it made sense.
He is not the type of financial expert who is going to make you ditch the things you love.
"It's a game. I'm saying spend extravagantly on the things you love and cut costs mercilessly on the things you don't."
He is not going to tell you to lose your latte, instead while sipping your iced drink call to negotiate down rates for your insurance or the rate on your credit card.
Sethi also says look at how much you're paying for the gym, versus how much you use it.
He says try to pay per use. In fact he suggests the a la carte method for one month, for everything you can. From the gym to watching shows online and canceling cable.
He suggests trying things over time. He won't be telling you to cut drastically.
For Emily, his advice has worked. And now she's planning for her next vacation.
