TULSA - Bob is one of the Tulsans who got in touch with the question about what to do with his old trash containers.

"What do I do with my old trash can when the new ones arrive?," asked Bob.  "What kind of sense does it make to haul every Tulsans' trash can to the landfill?"

The new trash service provider will take your cart or can off your hands if you want, but city officials say they won't be thrown away, they'll be recycled.

You'll also be able to have your green recycle bin collected since you'll be receiving a new recycle cart after July 16.

The city is sending everyone a letter with exact instructions on how to mark your cart to have it hauled away.

There will be no recycling charges on your bill after July 2 and the charge for curbside trash collection will be $10.52 on everyone's bill during July, August and September.
