TULSA - David gave us the heads up and there are many online complaints.
It starts with posting a resume on Internet job boards.
People are contacted by text message and told they need a Yahoo email account with instant messenger.
David signed up, installed messenger and started the online interview.
"She came online. Her first question to me was 'Where are you located?' plus wanted my birth date," he said.
"I knew right then it was a scam so I disconnected and uninstalled the messenger."
Good move on David's part.
Others who went further with the "online interview" were quickly told they needed to buy expensive software for the job and were asked for bank account information supposedly so the company could set people up for payment.
If you are looking for work and are approached with a similar offer don't even bother letting them get to you by Yahoo messenger but do report it to the site where you've posted your resume.
You should not have to spend money with a company to land a job.
