Within days of those explosions that rocked the Boston Marathon, and the entire country, crooks are trying to take money from people who want to help the victims.
We heard from a viewer who says her mom gave her bank account information to a caller claiming he was collecting donations for the victims.
Unfortunately, experts say they've come to expect these kinds of schemes.
Luckily, the lady who called us says she was able to contact her mom's bank, and cancel her account before any money was withdrawn.
Experts say never give personal or financial information to an unsolicited caller.
If you do want to help victims of a tragedy or disaster it's better to donate to organizations like the Red Cross. Though officials there tell us they have the money and blood needed to respond to the Boston Marathon bombing.
