TULSA - Janice has Internet and other services through AT&T.
She says she was more than satisfied with those services, until a billing mistake happened.
Janice called to tell us, "AT&T took $132.14 from my credit card account without my permission. My payments have never been late, and that month's bill was paid in full as well, so there was no reason for the charge. I've contacted customer service several times to get the money back, but haven't had any luck."
We got in touch with AT&T.
A rep looked into the situation, and it wasn't long until Janice says that $132 was credited back to her credit card account.
Her situation points out how important it is to take a close look at your credit card and other financial accounts on a regular basis, to make sure there aren't any mistakes.
If there are, you have a limited amount of time to correct them.
And if the mistake involves a credit card charge, be sure to dispute it with your card company to preserve your rights.
You generally have 60 days to dispute a charge.
