TULSA - With a boat, a bike, and two vehicles, this new carport is important for Melissa's family.
"It's nice to have to keep the cars out of the sun and the storms, it's just wonderful."
But Melissa says the installation of their carport stalled when the contractor said the kit was missing an important piece.
"He told my husband he'd be back in a week and he never came back in a week, and it was eight weeks."
All that time, Melissa says she made several calls to the company that sold them the $1500 carport.
But she says that got her nowhere.
The piece that was missing ran the entire length of the carport.
With it missing, Melissa was afraid what a strong wind could do.
"We worried about the storm and everything wondering if it would take it off."
"So Melissa called the problem solvers, and we contacted the company to find out when the carport would finally be finished. As it turns out, it was finished just two days later."
"They showed up the next Monday morning at about 8:30."
After waiting for a couple months, the job was completed in just a couple of minutes.
