TULSA - An office within the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) takes reports about possible safety defects on all vehicles, tires, equipment and child restraints.
They'll be hearing from Donnie in Wagoner who says "My truck was in my drive and just caught fire. It had been parked for over an hour. I do not know who to call or what to do."
It's the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI)

One, single, complaint can trigger an investigation and could result in a safety recall.
Before you begin be certain to have the make, model, and year of the vehicle as well as the VIN number.
If it's a particular piece of equipment you'll also need the component name or number.
