TULSA - Two major highway projects in Tulsa continue and one of them is creating new obstacles for drivers.
244, Memorial to I-44
On I-244, crews are replacing a lot of the pavement along the highway.
Drivers can expect the lane and ramp closures to continue in both the east and westbound lanes of 244 between Memorial and I-44.
Drivers need to give themselves a lot of extra time to get through there, especially during the rush hours.
There are a couple of big new closures along 244 because of that project.
The westbound 244 off-ramps to north and southbound Highway 169 are now closed through early October.
B.A., Yale to Sheridan
In midtown, another project is causing massive traffic back-ups.
The Broken Arrow Expressway eastbound is still down to just one lane from near Yale to Sheridan.
ODOT is replacing a bridge deck there. The work should wrap up by the first of the year.
