A major street rehab project has some drivers in east Tulsa looking for a detour.
129th, 11th to 21st
Crews are working on South 129th East Avenue between 11th and 21st streets.
Traffic is down to just one lane in each direction.
The $1.3 million project began last week and is expected to take five months to complete.
The area should be back to normal in October.
Creek Turnpike, Highway 75 to Memorial
The widening project on the Creek Turnpike between Highway 75 and Memorial is now in full gear.
Crews will be working for the next year to expand the stretch from four to six lanes.
The speed has dropped during the work, to 55 miles per hour.
Both lanes should stay open in each direction, but traffic could be temporarily narrowed to one, at times.
The project should be done by next summer.
