Drivers have seen a lot of work on Lewis in Tulsa over the past couple of years and it's not quite done yet.

Lewis at 61st

New signals and sidewalks are now going in on Lewis at 61st Street.

Traffic will be limited to one lane in each direction for four to six weeks.

This is all part of the widening project on Lewis.

This 150-thousand dollar addition will put the area in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

10th & Elgin

Also a major update on the work at 10th and Elgin in downtown Tulsa.

Starting today Elgin is now closed between 9th and 10th streets for the next month.

Crews are turning the intersection of 10th and Elgin into a roundabout.

The entire project should be completed by June.

Peoria at I-44

There will be periodic big problems for drivers on Peoria Tuesday at the I-44 junction.

There will be short term closures of all lanes of north and southbound Peoria from nine to three Tuesday.

This is all because of the I-44 widening project.

Drivers are asked to avoid Peoria all together if they can.

Riverside & 61st

Riverside Drive looks more normal again for drivers at 61st Street.

The curvy detour that had been there is now gone.

Crews started re-opening riverside on Friday.

However one lane in each direction on Riverside will remain closed until Wednesday while crews finish some median work.

It's all part of the widening project on 61st between Riverside and Peoria.

The work on 61st will continue until the middle of next year.
