TULSA - A new project in east Tulsa will be slowing down drivers for months.

51st & Garnett

The new project starts today at 51st and Garnett.

Traffic will be limited to just one lane in each direction.

Crews are tearing up the intersection in all directions.  Then will put down a new layer of pavement.  They call it a rehab project.

The one million-dollar project will be finished in August.

Highway 11

And a project out by the airport is still going on this week.

Crews are still installing new cable barriers along Highway 11 between 244 and Virgin.

Because of that, the left lane of east and westbound Highway 11 is closed every weekday from seven in the morning until four in the afternoon.

Memorial at Creek Turnpike

An emergency project in south Tulsa that was causing big problems for drivers was completed over the weekend.

Several lanes of Memorial were closed at times under the Creek Turnpike last week while crews made emergency repairs to the bridge.

An oversized load hit the bridge, but the damage it caused has now been fixed.
