TULSA - A midtown Tulsa street project is running behind schedule.
Lewis, 21st to 31st
The city says the project on Lewis between 21st and 31st will not be done until sometime in March.
It was scheduled to be completed in December. There's no word on why the project is running behind.
Crews are re-paving Lewis, along with some waterline and sewer repairs.
Traffic is limited to one lane in each direction.
This is the last project in Tulsa that's receiving funding from President Obama's stimulus plan -- The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
I-244, Memorial to I-244/44 split
A major new project on I-244 in Tulsa began Monday morning (2/6).
Crews are rehabbing the highway and replacing some of the bridge decks between memorial the 244/I-44 split.
One eastbound lane is already closed because of the 35 million dollar project.
There will be various lane and ramp closures during the project, which is expected to last 14 months.
61st Street, Riverside to Peoria
In Tulsa, the curvy detour is still in place on Riverside at 61st street. The city tells us it will stay that way for three to four more weeks.
Drivers should allow for some extra time in that area.
It's all part of the 61st Street widening project between Peoria and Riverside.
Riverside, 31st to pedestrian bridge
Meanwhile, the city says the lane closures further north on Riverside between 31st Street and the pedestrian bridge should be over by the end of this week.
Crews repaired the sewer there limiting Riverside to one lane in each direction. Now, crews are finishing repairs to the street.
