TULSA - Get ready for some major back ups on the Broken Arrow Expressway.
Bridge decks
Crews begin work on a major project Monday, replacing three of the bridge decks on the Broken Arrow Expressway.
They're replacing both the east and westbound bridge decks over Pittsburg Avenue between Harvard and Yale.
And they're also replacing another bridge deck just east of Yale.
There will be lane closures in that corridor. At times only one lane in each direction may be open.
You should find an alternate route or plan for extra travel time.
The project should take about eight months to complete.
Lewis between 21st to 26th
The good news is while that major project begins, another one has just come to an end.
The work on Lewis between 21st and 26th is finally finished about four months behind schedule.
Crews replaced the pavement on Lewis and also did some water and sewer work.
All lanes are now back open.
11th, Memorial to Mingo
Another new project started up last week in Tulsa.
This is a bridge rehab project on 11th street between Memorial and Mingo.
The two inside lanes of 11th are now closed, they'll stay closed for two to three months while workers finish the project.
