TULSA - If you're driving down I-244 in Tulsa this week, you're in for a whole new world.
244 traffic shift
First off, as many drivers know, there's a massive re-surfacing project on 244 between Memorial and Highway 169.
Today (Monday) traffic in the east bound lanes of 244 was shifted onto new pavement.
Meanwhile, the two left lanes of eastbound 244 are now closed.
So if you're driving through that construction zone be prepared to drive on different lanes than you're used to.
That project won't wrap up until next year.
WB 244 to SB Highway 75, off ramp
Further east on 244 a new challenge for drivers on the northeast corner of the IDL, around downtown.
The westbound 244 off ramp to southbound Highway 75 is now closed.
It will stay closed for five months as part of a bridge rehab project.
129th, 11th to 21st
A major street rehab project has some drivers in east Tulsa still looking for a detour.
Crews are working on South 129th East Avenue between 11th and 21st Streets.
Traffic is down to just one lane in each direction.
The area should be back to normal in October.
