TULSA - A major road project in south Tulsa expands while a project north of Tulsa starts up.
71st St., HWY 75 to river
This project on 71st Street that started last week is getting a little bigger this week.
The lane closures on 71st will now stretch from the Tulsa Hills shopping center to the Arkansas River.
Traffic is limited to just one lane in each direction while crews give the street a makeover.
The work won't be done until October.

A new construction project will be slowing down drivers near Skiatook.
Now closed at Highway 75 is 116th Street. Crews are building a new bridge over Highway 75.
ODOT officials say the new bridge should cut down on the amount of accidents at the busy intersection.
The project is expected to be completed by next fall.
To get around this project drivers can take 126th Street or 106th Street. Both of those streets intersect with Highway 75.
11th & Yale
A new project along old Route 66 could cause some slowdowns for drivers in midtown Tulsa.
Construction is scheduled to start this week on the intersection of 11th Street and South Yale.
Crews will be adding Route 66 shields to the pavement and other embellishments to commemorate the historic roadway.
No word on how long the project is expected to last.
