TULSA - An Owasso teen died and another was injured after a single-vehicle crash near Mohawk Park early Sunday morning.

Just after midnight, an 18-year-old driver and 5 passengers were traveling westbound on Port Road when the vehicle swerved to avoid a deer, Cpl. Dave Crow said.

A female passenger was sitting on another passengers lap when she was partially ejected from the vehicle, Crow said.

The teen was transported to the hospital with a head injury, but she later died, Crow said.

The driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police have not released the identities of those involved in the accident.
