DEARBORN, Mo. - After a day of speculation, the name of the family with Missouri’s winning Powerball ticket has been confirmed.

Mark and Cindy Hill are the big winners, according to a source close to the family.

The Hills live in Dearborn, a town of 495 people. Residents heard rumors throughout the day that the Hills had won, but community members were mum to media outlets. The family also seemed off the grid, expected to be traveling to the Missouri Lottery headquarters in Jefferson City, Mo.

The couple matched all six Powerball numbers drawn to win half of the $587.5 million jackpot. According to the Missouri Lottery, at $293.7 million, this is the largest jackpot prize ever won in Missouri – a state which has hit the jackpot the second-most times in the country.

Dearborn residents tell 41 Action News that the Hills are a farming family. It is believed that they have a young adopted daughter who still lives with them, as well as several adult children.

Two other Missourians won prizes of $1 million. One of those tickets was sold at the Sun Fresh on NE Vivion Road, and the other at a Casey’s in Joplin.
