KANSAS CITY - Tamika Davis is a school bus driver who works hard to provide for her family -- but her unreliable car sometimes refused to start just when she needed it the most.

Tamika's sons, who are both in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, always told their Big Brothers that when the got older they were "gonna get their mama a new car."

Big Brothers Chris Rosburg and Andy Tuleyu heard about the "Recycled Rides" program through Big Brothers Big Sisters and decided to nominate her.

Tamika was selected and was surprised with a car, Christmas gifts for the entire family, gift cards, new tires, oil changes and more.

Recycled Rides is a nationwide community service project by members of the National Auto Body Council (NABC), who repair and donate recycled vehicles to families and service organizations in need.
