BALTIMORE - The FBI is investigating a suspicious death on the Enchantment of the Seas, a Royal Caribbean cruise ship based out of Baltimore that included port calls to Port Canaveral, Florida.
The ship returned to Baltimore Monday morning after a man found his 64-year-old wife dead in their cabin Sunday.
The Enchantment of the Seas seven-night cruise included port calls to Port Canaveral, Fla., Nassau and CocoCay Bahamas.
The FBI responded to the ship when it arrived back in Baltimore Monday, March 25. They said there are "suspicious undertones" surrounding the death.
Few details are available, but the FBI has been able to confirm the woman is from Midlothian, Va. Investigators are still waiting on a cause of death. They say the husband was interviewed.
According to the Washington Post , Royal Caribbean issued a statement saying it contacted the FBI and local police as part of standard procedures.
