WASHINGTON, D.C. - Approximately 13,000 softball bats are being recalled because they can break, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The Louisville Slugger OneX Fastpitch Softball Bat has been recalled by Hillerich & Brads because the handle can break off the barrel, according to the recall announcement.
The composite bat has a white and grey shell with blue and yellow lettering. “Louisville Slugger oneX” appears twice on the barrel, in yellow in one place and in blue lettering on the other side. The “X” is yellow in both places.
The company reports around 170 incidents and one injury.
