TULSA - Tulsa police say a woman was shot after an armed robber stole her purse near 71st Street and Mingo Road.

Officers say the woman was sitting in her car in an apartment complex parking lot around 10 p.m. Saturday when a man reached into the car and grabbed her bag.  The man then shot her in the leg.

The woman was taken to the hospital, but police say she is in good condition.

"What we're developing now, is a black male in his 20s, 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 130 to 135 pounds.  He ran west from the car after the shot was fired," Tulsa police Corporal Andrew Mackenzie said.

Police say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
