TULSA - An 80-year-old Tulsa woman has died, one week after she was hit by a car, while crossing Cherry Street.

JoAnn Carlson sustained 27 broken bones in the December 15th, accident.

She was walking home from the Hideaway Pizza, near 15th and South Rockford Avenue.

Her family described her as a healthy, productive and independent woman who loved walking.

Now, they have set up a makeshift memorial at the site of the accident, to honor they woman they loved and to draw attention to the what happened.

"Somebody out there knows something and I hope that they will call Crime Stoppers and get that information to the right people," said JoAnn's granddaughter, Josie Carlson.

Tulsa Police are looking for a light-colored sedan with a broken windshield.
