TULSA - A 19-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a shooting near 61st and Peoria, an intersection under the microscope since four women were killed in an apartment nearby last month.
Police arrested Ebony Hill on charges of domestic shooting with the intent to kill.
Gang unit officers were already in the area when Hill called and reported domestic violence at Prescott Woods Apartments around 8:50 p.m. Friday, Police said. Officers say they then heard gun shots.
Police then located a man who had been shot in the chest.
The victim's name has not been released. Police say he was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
In the wake of the murders at Fairmont Terrace Jan. 7, Tulsa leaders have made the area a focus. Mayor Dewey Bartlett has even pledged to send Tulsa's City Council a proposal to establish more apartment accountability by the end of the month.
