WELCH, Okla. - A 16-year-old Welch boy was struck by a train and killed in Craig County Sunday.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Mathew Logan Hankins was pronounced dead at the scene after being hit by a Union Pacific freight train within Welch city limits around 5:15 p.m.
Investigators say Hankins was jogging on the tracks when he was hit by the 116-car train.
