TULSA - Five employees of Victory Christian Center were in court Wednesday in connection with the child sex abuse scandal.

John Daugherty and Charica Daugherty, the founder's son and daughter-in-law, along with Anna George, Paul Willemstein and Harold Sullivan pleaded not guilty to one count each of failing to report child abuse.

The church says the employees were working in various departments but have now been suspended.

All five were arrested after turning themselves into police last week.  Right now, they're all free on bond.

So far, four victims have come forward, two have claimed sexual abuse, the other two have claimed employees made advances toward them online.

Former employee Chris Denman pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree rape, forcible sodomy, lewd molestation and use of a computer to facilitate a sex crime.

Prosecutors say in all instances, these five employees knew about the abuse and failed to call the proper authorities.

A second former employee, Israel Castillo, faces charges of making a lewd proposal to a minor and using a computer to facilitate a sex crime.

Tulsa County District Attorney Tim Harris says he will meet with the defendants' attorneys and discuss what actions they will take.

"You know at this point in time until we talk and sit down, discuss the facts, we think in this case it's hard to know in these people's minds," said Harris.  "Hopefully a middle ground can be reached."
