TULSA - A man injured in an oil tank explosion Wednesday is recovering in a Tulsa hospital.
Jon Ellis is in the intensive care unit but doctors say he's in stable condition.
Ellis is expected to undergo surgery as early as Friday on a broken ankle.
Twenty-nine-year-old Kyle Polkinghorn was killed in the explosion near the Creek County town of Bristow.

The two men were part of a crew from Cromwell Dozer and Backhoe out of Wewoka. They were working on an oil tank battery Thursday when the explosion occurred.
"It was a routine thing that shouldn't have had anything like this happen," said Danny Loony, company president. "We don't know the cause yet."
The men were transferring oil between two tanks when one ignited.
Firefighters responded around 11:40 a.m. Officials said the blast could be heard miles away.
