TULSA - Tulsa's new trash and recycling service officially kicks off Monday.
The last of the new gray and blue carts were delivered last week.
Residents, here's what you need to know:
All yard waste and trash can be put in the gray trash cart.
Extra waste has to be placed in separate bags with the appropriate stickers attached to them.
Ten complimentary stickers were mailed to each city of Tulsa refuse customer. Additional stickers are available at QuikTrip for 50 cents a piece.
The city warns customers who don't follow the coding requirements will not have their trash picked up.
Meanwhile, the city's new recycling program is aimed at getting more people to take advantage of the service.
Every customer received a blue recycling cart and the types of items that can be recycled are endless.
Glass, metal, paper, cardboard and plastic are all recyclable, though there are some exceptions .
And finally, customers should be aware of where their carts should be placed for pickup.
For more on the new system, check out the city's trash brochure above or bit.ly/QxygMh for mobile users. Residents may also call Tulsa customer care at (918) 596-2100.
