TULSA - A 20-year-old Tulsa woman is behind bars after a toddler was hospitalized for injuries consistent with child abuse, police say.
On Aug. 4, a 13-month-old baby was taken to a local hospital with multiple injuries.
According to the police report, the boy had extreme swelling on the left side of his face and a black eye.
As physicians evaluated the boy, they also found bruises on his legs, back and scrotum.
According to the report, X-rays showed a skull fracture that was not indicative of an accidental injury.
Police say there was also a bite mark on the baby's left arm.
Aadriane Nickole Dixon, who police say was the child's sole caregiver, was interviewed.
The relationship between Dixon and the child was not immediately clear.
According to the report, Dixon waited two hours before seeking medical attention for the baby's injuries, which were consistent with abuse.
Dixon was arrested Aug. 7 for child abuse. She was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on $100,000 bond.
