TULSA - The Tulsa State Fair kicks off its 11-day run Thursday when gates open at 5 p.m.
Among tonight's highlights are the Miss Tulsa State Fair pageant and "Dare to Dream" from Disney on Ice.
Inspectors shut down two rides during checks by the Oklahoma Labor Department Wednesday. Five inspectors spent much of the day checking out each of the nearly 60 midway rides.
All rides, even those with minor problems, will be fixed of they won't be allowed to operate.
Inspectors will be on hand through the run of the fair.
