TULSA - The strategic gang enforcement operation called "Operation Triple Beam" removed 163 violent gang members and their associates from Tulsa streets.
More than 40 law enforcement officers, from many different agencies including ATF agents, U.S. Marshals, and Tulsa police took part in the two week operation.
Authorities also seized more than 46 firearms and they report gang related activity has dropped 50%.
They are calling it a major success.
"I don't want anybody to think this is a deal where, ok, everybody's been arrested, everybody else is safe, that's just not true. We will continue doing this, it's been extremely successful," said Tulsa Police Chief, Chuck Jordan.
