TULSA - A pair of Tulsa police officers making a routine bar check of a local gentlemen's establishment arrested two men who allegedly cornered a stranger in a bathroom demanding money.
Rudy Gomez, 29, and 26-year-old Antavius Rankin, both of Tulsa, were taken into custody after an apparent incident late Sunday night at Lady Godiva's near South Sheridan Road and East 19th Street.
Both of the suspects' booking reports detail the alleged events that led to their arrest, including a man screaming from the club's restroom, which alerted the officers to the situation.
The door was initially blocked, according to the reports, causing the officers to force it open. The man who had yelled for help then accused Gomez and Rankin of following him into the bathroom and threatening to shoot him if he didn't give over his money.
The man wasn't hurt and was able to keep the contents of his wallet.
Both suspects are due in court later this week.
