TULSA - A man took matters into his own hands, police say, when a would-be burglar broke into his house Wednesday morning.
According to the booking report, Robert Cole broke into a house near East 54th Street North and North Lewis by breaching a screen on the back porch and tossing a lawn chair through the homeowner's 6-year-old daughter's window.
The young girl was in her room when Cole entered the home.
Police say the girl's father located the defendant, who had made his way into the garage, and subdued him until officers arrived.
Cole was arrested for first-degree burglary and booked into the Tulsa County Jail on $20,000 bond.
