TULSA - Tulsa police are giving away free booster and car seats, as well as providing safety checks on Saturday.
The Tulsa Police Department, Tulsa Black Officers Coalition Inc., and Tulsa Safe Kids are conducting the 13th Annual Car Seat Check Up at the Lacy Park Community Center from 10 a.m. to noon.
A limited number of booster and car seats are available. Families who need one are required to have their child present to be fitted for the seat.
Police say results from previous car seat safety checks have shown that at least four out of five child safety seats are not installed correctly.
There will also be an Easter egg hunt, refreshments and prizes.
The park's community center is located at 2134 North Madison Place.
