TULSA - Tulsa police say they believe a man may have fallen asleep at the wheel at the traffic circle near Admiral and Mingo early Monday.
Witnesses told police they saw the man leaving a nearby club around 1:30 a.m. shortly before the wreck.
Police say the man lost control of his car near the traffic circle and hit a pole.
Emergency crews used the Jaws of Life to extricate the man. He was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Police say he was driving between 50 and 60 miles per hour at the time of the crash.
The wreck is still under investigation.
