TULSA - Tulsa police say a man is facing charges for serving as a lookout in a robbery earlier this week that resulted in a standoff.
Craig Middleton, 26, was implicated by another suspect.
According to the police report, two males entered U-Stop on Mohawk Boulevard, produced handguns and demanded cash. The suspects took cash and cigarettes before fleeing to the nearby Mohawk Manor Apartments.
One suspect, a 17-year-old male, was shot during a standoff with police when they say he approached them with a gun in his hand. He was hospitalized but has not been booked into the jail.
A second suspect, 20-year-old Juan Carlos Alvarez, was arrested for armed robbery.
According to the police report, Alvarez implicated Middleton as the lookout during the robbery, as did another witness to the crime.
When detectives interviewed Middleton, he admitted being present during the robbery but said he was not a part of the crime.
Middleton was arrested for armed robbery and booked on $50,000 bond.
