TULSA - Police say a drunk driver crashed into another vehicle, then fell asleep behind a nearby dumpster.
Isaac Turner was arrested for hit-and-run, driving under the influence, driving under suspension and red light violation.
Officers responded to an accident around 10:30 p.m. near 81st and Highway 169 after a Toyota Tundra ran a red light while traveling westbound on 81st Street. A small Toyota car that was exiting the highway had a green light and while turning onto 81st the two vehicles collided.
Police say the impact occurred on the driver's side of the small Toyota, causing significant injuries to the driver.
Turner, who was driving the Tundra, was uninjured and left the scene on foot.
Police say Turner called a relative and informed him he stole his truck and it could be recovered at the crash site. The relative arrived at the scene and gave officers a description of Turner.
Police say Turner was found about an hour later sleeping behind one of the dumpsters at Tulsa Community College.
Turner was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on $25,600 bond.
