TULSA - Tulsa police say a man claims to have murdered 21 people. His girlfriend told officers he threatened to make her his 22nd victim.
Chance Clagett was arrested Wednesday for attempted first-degree murder and domestic assault and battery by strangulation.
According to the police report, officers responded to a home near 77th and Memorial for a physical domestic dispute. The victim said her boyfriend was inside, intoxicated. They got into an argument after she was trying to get him to go to sleep.
Police say Clagett grabbed her by the hair and pulled her to the floor, holding her by the throat.
According to the police report, the woman said Clagett told her he would kill her if she moved. After complying he stopped choking her.
Police say Clagett told the woman he's killed 21 people and she would be his 22nd victim.
The woman eventually escaped the home through a back door and called 911 from a neighbor's house.
Clagett is being held in the Tulsa County Jail without bond.
