TULSA - Hundreds of Korean War veterans were honored for their service this week, ending with a special program on Saturday.
The Medal of Honor ceremony was held in Veterans Park in Tulsa and included words from Hershel "Woody" Williams, the last living Medal of Honor recipient from the battle for Iwo Jima.
"These are our greatest American heroes. Of the 3,461 people who have earned the Congressional Medal of Honor since 1863, there are only 80 living right now," Sr. Vice Commandant J. Guymon said.
The Korean War Commemoration Committee will honor Korean War veterans and their sacrifice throughout this year.
